An EVP and employer brand for a regional community services organisation.
Social Futures is a community services organisation based in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. It works across homelessness and housing supports, youth and family services, and programs for people with disability, in regional New South Wales and South East Queensland.
The challenge.
Social Futures needed a clear EVP and employer brand to describe what it is like to work there. It is a strong employer, and its own people did not always see how good it was.
That is a common finding when an organisation does a lot of important work and puts its energy into the people it serves. The people inside it see the day-to-day, and they can lose sight of how rare their culture and their work are.
What we did.
We developed Social Futures' EVP brand architecture through employee interviews and an all-staff survey, so that the promise was built on what its people said.
One of the main findings was that Social Futures did not realise how excellent it was, or how world class some of what it does is. We gave the leadership team recommendations and suggestions based on what we heard, and we supported them in applying for a workplace accreditation that would recognise it formally.
The outcome.
In 2024 Social Futures was accredited as a Great Workplace by WRK+. We supported the process with our recommendations and with help preparing their application.
Social Futures now has an EVP built on the experience of its own people, and an external accreditation that confirms what those people told us.
